William J. Schade: I am a third generation native of Sequim, Washington. I went to Washington State University to compete for the Cougar Track and Field team while pursuing a degree in English Literature. After a successful athletic career, I graduated with honors with a degree in English and a minor in business. I also earned membership into the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. During my preliminary business training, I became interested in statistical analysis, especially in regard to its application to financial theory. This led me to specialize in financial theory as I pursued my master's degree in business administration, also at Washington State. I attained my MBA in the spring of 2002.

After completing my degree program, I initially had job opportunities in the Seattle and Spokane areas, but decided on returning to Sequim. At this point, I decided to add a practical component to my portfolio theory education and earned the designation Registered Financial Consultant through Kaplan University’s online financial planning certificate program.

It is my belief that this combination of practical as well as theoretical education allows me to provide unique insights and ability regarding investment decisions. Masters level statistics and portfolio theory courses taught me to be brutal when evaluating investments. All of my professors emphasized, time and time again, the fact that so few investment products really provide the service for which they charge. Low fees, current cash flow, and long term viability were stressed as the only practical means to invest efficiently for the long term.

My education at Kaplan added a practical, personal finance based aspect to my education. While not as rooted in theory, these courses gave me many of the tools necessary to evaluate individual client needs, and to help clients reach their goals. As a Registered Financial Consultant, I am able to better implement those financial tools and strategies that pass the strict scrutiny of the evaluation measures learned during my portfolio theory education. I always look forward to meeting new clients, building new relationships and putting my skills and experience to work helping clients achieve their goals.

Peter Argersinger: Born and raised in Massachusetts, I moved to New York City and went to work for Chemical Banking Corporation in the retail back office operations. I spent several years learning the banking system and training for business management. After managing customer service and internal research groups through several mergers, a large relocation to Texas ended my operations management in what had become JPMorgan Chase & Company. As an internal risk and control officer, I used the experience and knowledge gained to evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of internal bank controls and compliance with federal and state banking rules. I was ultimately responsible for administering an application used to identify, test, and manage key risk activities throughout the Treasury and Securities Services division of JPMC. After close to twenty years in the New York City area, I was ready for the pace and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. I believe my experience in management, operational efficiency, and financial control is of great benefit to WJ Schade Financial Services.
